Havens Food Cooperative Wins Seahaven Business Awards in 2022-2024
Havens Food Cooperative attended the Seahaven Business Awards in 2022, 2023 and 2024, and won the award for the Best Environmental Business for 3 year running.
The project was awarded for its positive environmental impact and food waste prevention efforts, saving up to 3 tonnes of surplus food weekly, preventing this surplus from reaching landfill where it would have produced harmful greenhouse gasses.
Havens Food Cooperative Presented With High Sheriff’s Award in 2024
Havens Food Cooperative had the honour of participating in an awards ceremony at the Hellingly Community Hub on March 12, 2024, hosted by the High Sheriff of East Sussex, Richard Bickersteth.
The project was delighted to receive a commendation from High Sheriff Richard Bickersteth, acknowledging the project's exceptional and invaluable contributions to the community. Our team is ecstatic about being part of such a meaningful event, where our dedication to community service was not only celebrated but also formally recognised. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to High Sheriff Richard Bickersteth for his ongoing support throughout the past year. Special appreciation also goes to our remarkable volunteer team, whose unwavering commitment to supporting the community and fighting against food waste has been instrumental in this project and its activities.
Havens Food Cooperative Attends BBC Radio Sussex and Surrey’s Make a Difference Awards 2024
Havens Food Cooperative were invited to attended the BBC Sussex and Surrey Make a Difference Awards on 1st October 2024 and were finalists in the Green Category for the work Havens does reducing food waste. We were thrilled to attend alongside some really brilliant people and projects who all do amazing work in the community, making a real difference.
